In home blind repair, for a large Hunter Douglas custom blind that was broken. Technician came to home, removed the blind and repaired on the spot.

We phoned Affordable Blind Services this morning at 9 a.m. to repair a rather large Hunter Douglas blind in our kitchen that stopped working. The friendly lady Cindy, answered the phone and made a same day appointment for us at 1 p.m. They arrived promptly at 1 p.m., and repaired our blind while we watched. Besides being punctual, they were professional, clean, friendly, meticulous, and knowledgeable. He advised us that he needed to restring our blind, and within one hour he was finished. Custom blinds are an investment, so I highly recommend the services of this company. I felt their Trip Charge ($55) and Restring service ($45) was very reasonable, for this large window. They also permit you to drop off your blinds for repair as well (by appointment), if you want to save the trip charge. In our case, this was a large window, and a bit difficult to access. Well worth the $100.

Unable to get one of our blinds to work properly after a winter tenant, I tried to force something and ended up unable to get the blind to work. Made an appointment for Affordable Blind Services for a couple of days later and Cindy turned up, assessed the situation and took measurements just in case we would have to order a new blind. Shortly they were able to fix the problem to make the blind repair perfectly and they were paid and on their way to their next call within about 20 minutes! Very lovely lady and her very sweet and competent son!

What a wonderful, positive experience!!!! Mother and son owned and operated business. Both of whom are pleasant, delightful and professional. They phoned the day of our appointment to advise his approx arrival time. He recommended the most cost effective repair and repaired the shutters on site. The repairs are unnoticeable. I had anticipated that the shutters would have to be taken down and repaired at the shop……………so I was really happy that that was not necessary. GREAT JOB.

We had 6 non-operating blinds, some quite large. They came in, after calling us to say he would be 30′ late, evaluated our blinds, told us how old they were, what they were made of, made repair and care suggestions, then proceeded to re-string, repair and replace Were the part not a precise match, he asked our permission to use the replacements (they were close enough).
Could not ask for a more amenable and knowledgeable window blind person.

We had 3  very large blinds that needed repair. The first one opens from the top down or the bottom up and the strings broke. The other 2 were cordless and began making a terrible noise and became very stiff when trying to open or close. Cindy came within 2 days of our first call, gave us an estimate, and repaired the first blind in our home. The other two had to be sent out for repair and took 2 weeks. We felt her rates were fair and certainly less that replacing the shades.

We like to support small business owners. Cindy was friendly, responsive and professional and we would definitely refer her to our friends.
